    Jimmy D. Chew, has served as Fire Chief for the Stephenville Fire Department since 2004. Chew was first employed with the city in 1970, and is currently the longest tenured employee that has ever worked for the city. Chew came up through the ranks of the SFD and served as Assistant Chief in charge of training and operations for 25 years prior to his appointment as Chief. Chew is an Advanced Firefighter, Instructor II, Field Examiner, and Emergency Medical Technician.
    Chew is currently a member of the TFCA Line of Duty Death Investigation Team, Incident Management Team attached to Waco Rapid Response Task Force, West Central Texas Incident Management Team. He has been deployed on numerous occasions as IMT member with TIFMAS and the Texas Forest Service. Chew is very active in all aspects of fire service with special interests in the safety of Texas firefighters and the betterment of fire service.

    Stephenville Fire Chief Jimmy will explain to the group some situations that his crews have been challenged with and the lessons they have learned.     It is very important that you RSVP for this meeting as we must have a count for lunch. All RSVP’s must be received by Monday, June 15, 2015. Anyone that submits an RSVP and does not cancel in a timely manner will still be responsible for the cost of the meal and will be sent an invoice.
